Located at Ao Yon Beach near Cape Panwa, the Phuket Watersports Centre is the ideal destination for sailing, yacht courses, diving, and water sports. Ao Yon is one of Phuket’s most beautiful and uncrowded beaches, featuring a gently sloping shoreline, clear waters, and safe swimming conditions. At weekends, enjoy SIA Sailing Events - Day trips, Learn to Sail, or just explore the islands on a yacht. PWSC is all about qualifying people top sail yachts or motor yachts and then enjoying our boats when you are certified by chartering our Platus and our Multihull or Ocean Going Yachts. We warmly welcome ex students to rent our boats and join our monthly Sailing Events. These include Safari Island Hopping Trips as well as Milecatchers and for those who want to offshore sailing we run Milecatchers to Butang Islands, Ko Rok Nok, Krabi and Ko Lanta.
Our ISSA Sea School, one of Asia’s best-equipped, offers recreational and professional yacht training courses at the delightful and well equipped Coco Pier Marina. SIA welcomes all—guests, tourists, and Phuket residents. Complete a course and then join Friends of PWSC to connect with fellow sailors and enjoy regular flotilla Sailing Events.

Cruising Yacht Highlander
Highlander – Offshore Sailing Yacht in Phuket
The Highlander is a superb offshore sailing yacht designed for blue water cruising. This elegant Contest 41, Danish-built for performance and comfort, is ideal for Milecatcher sailing adventures. With space to sleep 6–8 guests, Highlander is perfect for trips to Langkawi, the Butang Islands, Krabi, or Phang Nga Bay.
A professional crew ensures a seamless experience, with options for a skipper/chef or just a skipper if you prefer to dine ashore or self-cater. Luxuriously appointed and beautifully maintained, Highlander combines style with adventure.
In just one or two days, you can sail to stunning destinations like Phang Nga Bay or Krabi. Onboard amenities include a canoe, SUP, and dinghy for exploring beaches or visiting seaside restaurants. The Corsair Trimaran Shanghai Baby is one of the most popular yachts in our fleet, known for being easy to sail and 100% fun. With just 8 knots of wind, this trimaran starts to fly, and in stronger conditions it can reach speeds of 20+ knots.
Well-maintained and fully equipped, Shanghai Baby features new sails, safety gear, VHF radio, and Wi-Fi-enabled electronics for racing or cruising. Ideal for Phuket island-hopping, the yacht can take up to 10 guests on local day trips. Beaching is simple, making picnics on secluded tropical islands with private beaches a breeze.

The JOD 35 Magic is a versatile racer-cruiser yacht, perfect for day sailing trips in Southeast Phuket or weekend getaways. Designed for performance and comfort, this yacht can take up to 8 passengers on exciting island-hopping adventures.
Ideal for special occasions, Magic can be chartered for more than just a day. With sleeping space for 6 guests below deck (or 8 when weekend cruising), it’s a great choice for groups of friends or families.
Equipped with a stern ladder, you can easily dive into the clear tropical waters for swimming and snorkeling. For added fun, you can also rent a SUP or canoe for the day or weekend.

SUP
SUP's are available at the Phuket Watersport Centre. We have new boards available at very reasonable cost. Ao Yon Bay is often a flat water bay so its easy to stand up and if you fall in the water, don't worry there are no rocks or dangers to worry about. We provide buoyancy aids to all users.
Snorkeling
Masks and snorkels are available if you are going off in Shanghai Baby or one of our large yachts for a day trip. We have lots of these but bring your own fins or flippers please!
